Tailored Brands has appointed Brandy Richardson Chief Financial Officer, effective November 8.

The tailored men’s clothing retailer has kept a low profile since its managing director, Dinesh Lahti, and chief trader, Carrie Ask, left the company in March, three months after it emerged from bankruptcy. The company recruited veteran Peter Sachse as interim co-CEO at the time, sharing the role with former Lowe’s CFO Bob Hull. John Tighe, who had worked for JC Penney Co. Inc. and Peerless Clothing, was recruited as Customer Manager.

Richardson has over 20 years of experience in finance, business transformation, strategic planning and execution, capital allocation and investor relations. She most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Neiman Marcus Group, where she played a central role in the restructuring of the company under Chapter 11 and helped refinance the debt exit facilities. . At Tailored Brands, she will serve on the company’s executive committee and be responsible for all aspects of finance as well as real estate and loss prevention.

“Brandy joins us at a time when we are well positioned to accelerate our business strategies, deliver to our customers and position each of our brands – and the teams that support them – for long-term success,” said Hull. “Brandy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in managing a portfolio of companies, increasing liquidity, improving capital allocation and creating value. Our management team and board of directors believe their forward-thinking leadership is the right person at the right time. “

Sachse added, “The experience Brandy brings from his roles in Strategy and Finance will provide a comprehensive perspective as we continue to navigate the ever-changing retail environment and we will show strength for our customers across the board. the moments that matter. We are excited to have Brandy join our leadership team as we identify innovative ways to execute our strategic priorities and continue to be successful. “

Prior to joining the Neiman Marcus Group, Richardson worked at Cardinal Health, a manufacturer of medical equipment, and Ernst & Young LLP.

Tailored Brands filed Chapter 11 in August 2020. It emerged from bankruptcy in December with $ 678 million less debt, 500 fewer stores, a $ 430 million asset loan facility, a term loan $ 365 million and $ 75 million in cash from a new loan facility.

However, in early March, the company said it needed an additional $ 75 million to keep operating. Tailored Brands got the money – which consists of $ 50 million in mandatory convertible notes and $ 25 million in additional senior secured debt – from Silver Point Capital LP, one of its existing lenders and its largest shareholder.

48 truly thoughtful holiday gift ideas for men https://style-palazzo.com/48-truly-thoughtful-holiday-gift-ideas-for-men/ https://style-palazzo.com/48-truly-thoughtful-holiday-gift-ideas-for-men/#respond Thu, 14 Oct 2021 20:50:00 +0000 https://style-palazzo.com/48-truly-thoughtful-holiday-gift-ideas-for-men/

When you go looking for the right gifts for men, you would be forgiven for trying to find the most trending item. (Who among us hasn’t been tempted by the siren song of an “It” product?) But the secret to finding the perfect gift, as it turns out, is simpler than you might have guessed. “Men are interested in useful objects which they can use in their everyday life”, explains Voguemen’s clothing editor Michael Philouze. “They are more pragmatic when it comes to gifts.”

Over the past 18 months, the concept of “everyday life” has been turned upside down, which is why, as Philouze explains, the meaning and purpose of a gift matter more than ever. “The notions of authenticity, privacy and longevity in a product seem more relevant to the times than ever, because they are fundamental,” he says.

To this end, Vogue identified the best gifts for men – 48 of them, to be exact – all of which have this magical combination of purpose and personality. We’ve found the right gifts for an ever-changing gift season, from a cozy The Elder Statesman beanie for alfresco dining to a luxurious Brooklinen dress to spice up those days at home. As Philouze says, keeping gifts personal is essential: “Whoever you’re buying for, know their style so you can buy pieces that become part of their staples. “

Here, the 48 best gifts for every man in your life.

welcome to Heat check, a (semi) regular dose of essential style inspiration, taken from the best celebrity photos.

Fred Rogers is the one I usually think of when it comes to cardigans. The beloved TV icon had a virtual treasure trove of open sweaters in a range of colors – some of them were buttons, but they normally featured zippers. It was always a welcoming sight, and I guarantee anyone who grew up watching it will say the same. Lately, however, another name has been on the top of the subject: Keizer Clark, an Los Angeles-based brand rooted in dive leathers and warehouse rave jeans. Basically the opposite of Mr. Rogers’ specter.

While browsing Instagram, I couldn’t help but notice a number of celebrities wearing the exact same thing: Keizer Clark’s Chevron Knit cardigan, often paired with matching shorts, from the brand’s fall 2021 collection, titled “Solaris Machina”. There he was, shining brightly on Dwyane Wade as he was on vacation with his wife, Gabrielle Union, in Positano, Italy. Stephen Curry wore it before his game against the Lakers. Josh Allen also donned it in a stadium before a game. And Jae Crowder wore hers with fitted black sweatshirts at Tempe Fashion Week. But it wasn’t just these ballers. Nick Jonas was pictured having coffee in the coordinating set, and Lucky Daye was spotted wearing his at the One Music Festival. That’s six of the biggest names in pop culture today.

This begs the question: what’s wrong with this cardigan? The exaggerated black and beige herringbone pattern on the cotton knit is certainly eye-catching, without a doubt. But I wanted to know more. So I contacted the brand’s founder, Marc Keizer, for the answer.

“High comfort,” he says. “Most of the celebrities we work with are busy; they’re on the go, running to and from a game or show, traveling from town to town with games, concerts and events. The Chevron Knit set is incredibly comfortable. Believe me here, I wear mine literally every day, especially the cardigan. But it still maintains an assembly level. I think it’s a piece you can wear on and off that cross country flight, straight to a reunion, and still feel professional.

Keiser’s inspiration for his fall line, as he describes it, was “Blade runner meets Fleetwood Mac, combining electro-utility cuts and a warm retro touch. With a description like this, along with everyone’s affinity for comfort, it shouldn’t be hard to imagine why some of the most stylish gentlemen, whether traveling across the country or not, are fans. . And that feeling doesn’t just apply to them.

We’re all trying to figure out how to dress appropriately in these After Times. Parked sweating all day, not thinking about what to wear for a particular occasion, is a hard habit to break. Getting dressed was easy, and a lot of us don’t want to let go of that mindset. But we have to get back into the mix, and the only solution, as Mr. Rogers taught us all, is compromise. We have to find a happy medium. Fortunately, we have all of these celebrities to test the waters. And if the consensus is to say something, a patterned cardigan is what you need for a great day in the neighborhood.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The University of West Virginia to kick off the 2021-22 men’s basketball season with the Gold-Blue Debut, presented by the new Coke Zero Sugar on Friday, October 15 at 7 p.m., at the WVU Coliseum .

Entrance to the event is free with the doors opening at 6 p.m.

A refereed match between the Gold and Blue teams highlights some of the events that will occur. Other festivities include the introduction of players and male staff and a speech by Bob huggins. Other events include highlight videos and performances by pep Mountaineer’s group, cheerleaders and dance team.

A 30-minute autograph session with the student-athletes will take place after the event on the Colosseum floor. Participants in the autograph session must always wear a mask. Only one autographed item per person is allowed to keep the lines moving and no posed photos will be allowed.

The Colosseum car parks will be open free of charge.

In accordance with the updated WVU policy in effect on September 13, all people, regardless of their immunization status, are required to wear a mask in all buildings and facilities of the WVU System until October 20, including the WVU Coliseum.

Anyone entering the WVU Coliseum must wear a mask properly over the nose and keep it inside, except for eating and drinking.

This requirement will remain in place until October 20 or until the University determines that further guidance is warranted based on ongoing monitoring of factors, including state COVID-19 data, from the locality and campus. The University will focus particularly on student and employee vaccination rates and hospitalization rates across the state.

As the Colosseum will resume normal activities, WVU strongly encourages all fans to get the vaccine. A COVID-19 vaccination is the most important and effective tool to protect fans from the virus and its many variants. Increased vaccination rates, coupled with proven preventative measures such as masks, physical distancing, symptom monitoring, COVID-19 testing, and good personal hygiene (for example, hand washing and hand sanitizer ), are the proven tools fans can use to fight COVID-19 and the spread of the disease to others.

All fans must self-assess before the event or before arriving at the WVU Coliseum. Fans who may be ill or have symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home and contact a doctor.

The sports department, working with local, state and university officials, will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and make changes to WVU Coliseum protocols, if necessary, based on current health conditions.

Anime aesthetic blurs the line between real and virtual fashion https://style-palazzo.com/anime-aesthetic-blurs-the-line-between-real-and-virtual-fashion/ https://style-palazzo.com/anime-aesthetic-blurs-the-line-between-real-and-virtual-fashion/#respond Sun, 10 Oct 2021 00:30:26 +0000 https://style-palazzo.com/anime-aesthetic-blurs-the-line-between-real-and-virtual-fashion/

Multidimensional style

The presence of NFT (non-fungible tokens) in fashion has gone from novelty to de rigueur alarmingly rapid. For items presumably prized for their rarity, the explosion of designers selling clothing with NFT bonuses has made them anything but. Yet without the real world street tracks to show off our finery, we need a way to peacock online and – for now at least – with NFTs, it does.

In fashion, the NFTs in question are usually an image file and a digital token of an illustration or graphic based on the collection, or a photograph from the lookbook. In many ways, NFTs are a way to tangibly sell a brand’s image or aesthetic, rather than actual clothing, much like the way high-end brands sell perfumes or clothing. relatively affordable makeup. While it’s very easy to be cynical about the value (or lack thereof) of NFTs, they clearly serve a very human need to have a memory of a moment that matters to you. A memory “I was there” for the era of the pandemic.

The “Dimension” collection from Anrealage has digital skins that can be purchased as NFTs (non-fungible tokens). | ANREALAGE

The latest stylish entry into the NFT market is the Anrealage “Dimension” collection, which was unveiled online as part of Paris Fashion Week. The collection was produced in conjunction with Studio Chizu’s critically acclaimed animated film, “Belle” (“Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime” in Japanese), directed by Mamoru Hosoda. In line with the film’s setting, which oscillates between real and virtual Japan, the collection plunges into the animated worlds of Japan, blurring the aesthetics of virtual spaces with that of the exterior of our phones. It’s a vaguely intellectual way of saying ‘anime meets fashion’, but in the case of Anrealage creator Kunihiko Morinaga, who made it her business to pursue a fad that seems to come from another world , it’s a collection to take. seriously even if you have a hard time with the anime.

The digital looks are seen in an animated film produced by Studio Chizu and owned as NFT, first through Anrealage’s own online store and later through the OpenSea NFT Marketplace.

Anrealage’s path to Paris has been paved by a series of smaller brands and boutiques – most notably Akihabara’s long-gone Gokai boutique, and new additions such as Akiba Kanden Denki – which have long advocated for culture. pop, or outright otaku– fashion steeped in culture. The latter boutique is currently in the spotlight for Laforet Harajuku’s fall renewal campaign, where it will bring a retro-Akihabara aesthetic to a permanent space on the fourth floor.

Deliberately blown JPEGs, illustrations taken from erotic visuals of NEC PC-98 computer games, and allusions to stacked 1990s socks and overly decorated cellphones are all nostalgic references to a time when its customers (mostly early days) twenties) have ever known. Yet beyond the sensational irony of bringing to light once-hidden male fantasies, the brand has a deeper appreciation for the subcultural digital worlds created before the internet became mainstream.

On September 21, Hiromu Takahara, best known for his work as the creator of Roen, passed away at the premature age of 51. As Roen’s head, he helped define the subcultural vibe of menswear in the early 2000s, openly bringing Gothic into the mainstream American casual wardrobe. The style would eventually become anything but mainstream as the masculine counterpoint of Shibuya 109, 109 Men peaked in the mid-2000s. Its fanged skulls, studs and snakeskin brought luxury to the underground, and even so the fashion establishment has kept Roen and similar brands at bay, its legacy lives on in every man who dreamed of being a rockstar, dangerous outlaw, or cowboy riding toward sunset. . With women also keen to go for the look, Takahara went on to create a gender-less sister brand called Switchblade, inviting everyone on the Tokyo subway.

Roen’s legacy will continue in the digital world. Takahara designed the wardrobes for Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV heroes. But even before that, his designs influenced the wave of Gothic-Baroque elements that swept through Japanese video game design in the early 2000s and have never left it.

LA Dodgers Sweatpants

Great American hobby meets great American brand, and we’re totally here for that. Now that the baseball season is heading into the playoffs, Ralph Lauren and the MLB allow New York Yankees, LA Dodgers and Boston Red Socks fans to show their support with a selection of bombers, hoodies, caps. and sweatshirts. Most of the limited edition range is available through The Polo App, but Bodega has a few pieces ready to cut now.

Dark Gray Wool Sneakers 14milmil14 #UseTheExisting Triple Stitch

Zegna takes sustainability a step further. The Italian luxury brand, under the #UseTheExisting banner, released versions of its famous Triple Stitch sneaker made from recycled materials. These kicks are a clear sign that you care about reducing your carbon footprint.

Hamsa Mosaic Sock

Happy Socks x Andy Wahloo

If you don’t follow Hassan Hajjaj on Instagram, you are missing out on some of the most captivating images that celebrate the artist’s African heritage. It definitely arouses joy. The same can be said of his streetwear label Andy Wahloo, which has teamed up with Happy Socks on an equally Gram-worthy collection.

Zayn Collection AN3083 Round Drophead Sunglasses

Phosphorescent razor

Harry’s x Ghostly International

A few weeks before Halloween, Harry’s has teamed up with Ghostly International to create a razor to die for. Ok maybe not too much far away, but it glows in the dark. It’s pretty cool. Don’t shave in the dark. We think so.

Cosmic Rainbow Towel

The boys at Bathing Culture have all the necessities for, well, a bath and, uh, the culture around it. Along with the organic serums that will keep you cool and clean, they also have a colorful organic towel that will keep you dry and warm.

‘Don’t smoke, Rave’ t-shirt

Founded by A $ AP Rocky and led by designer Shane Gonzales, Midnight Rave is a Los Angeles-based brand that combines the most avant-garde aspects of fashion and music. Take a look at this t-shirt from the fall 2021 collection, which gives lighters a whole new meaning.

Nordic cardigan

It’s the simple things that have the most impact. Indeed, the same can be said of Adsum’s Nordic-style jacquard knit cardigan, which is sure to look great at your next party in the Big Apple, or anywhere for that matter.

Haelo hooded jacket

The Arrivals outerwear always packs the heat, but the brand takes that sentiment a step further. This week he launched The Haelo Space Pack Series, a collection of ultralights, compressible, eco-down jackets and pants. And rest assured that they are insulating, having been tested for temperatures up to 30 ℉.

Basketball hoodie

Alpha Industries x New Balance

Alpha Industries has partnered with New Balance on a capsule collection of joggers, caps, shirts, hoodies, sweaters and, of course, 574 sneakers. The line sticks to an olive green color, but its spirit is red, white and blue.

Romero knit shirt

Rio de Janeiro Carnival is filled with the most daring colors, the coolest textures and a lively vibe that’s hard to miss. But the rest of the year is much more laid back. Fresco Bolcarioca, a Brazilian brand that released its latest collection, which includes this silk and cotton shirt, shows this side of town. It’s sleek, understated and, believe it, reflects Rio.

Quilted vest

Just because Matt Soltau is a trained graphic designer doesn’t mean he doesn’t understand the value of a sober color palette. And the emerging black designer’s latest collection, which includes t-shirts, quilted bags and vests in cream tones, proves it.

RC ELITE v2_SI | Sneakers NB_1

Stone Island x New Balance

From J. Crew to Alpha Industries, New Balance has been very busy forming partnerships this month. But the one that took the longest to come is this team with Stone Island. For their first foray together, the iconic duo released a sneaker that combines what they do best: the Stone Island advantage and the avant-garde use of materials and New Balance’s proven ability to produce shoes from the ground up. durable race.
